Blackberry and Plum Arugula Salad

It’s Friday you guys! And I couldn’t be happier. This week was a busy one. There is so much going with family (my darling niece Hazel was born!!!), and work has been nuts. I got to host an adorable event on Wednesday evening with the lovely Caroline from Love and Loathing LA and Project Gravitas. Info about that coming your way soon!

I also hosted a dinner party downtown at the Eastern Building. If you haven’t been, you’ve got to swing through. It’s pretty epic, with an amazing pool… and Jonny Depp lives there… so I’d say it’s not too shabby!

Because the week has been so nuts, I made one of my favorite go-to easy meals that is satisfying, healthy, and packed with color and flavor.

I’m still freaking out about how we are already into fall…how did September creep up so quickly?!

In LA, we’ve got a couple weeks left of blackberry and plum season. I’m holding on tightly and including them in everything. This is a recipe for a blackberry and plum arugula salad. The spice of the arugula and the sweetness of the fruit is a perfect combination for a fall afternoon.

Jump into it. It’s delicious.

Blackberry and Plum arugula salad

A couple handfuls of arugula (mine are from the farmers market, but you can purchase anywhere!)
1 cup fresh blackberries
1 cup sliced plums (or pluots!)
Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
Optional: coconut, fresh bread, avocado, figs. Pretty much anything you’d like.

In a large bowl, mix your arugula, blackberries, and plums. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar! Add some of the optional ingredients for a little more substance. Eat!
