cinco de mayo & ginger beer margaritas!

Cinco de Mayo is quite the day! While it has become synonymous with endless margaritas and guacamole galore, the day commemorates the Mexican Army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla and the festivities span from Mexico to across the US and beyond. I for one, can’t get enough of Mexican cuisine and thanks to living in LA, get to experience the best of it whenever a craving hits.

Today is no exception- I’ll be diving into all things Mexican food and drink with a Cinco de Mayo spread!

I recently got to team up with one of my favorite bloggers in LA- Jen from The Effortless Chic to style this perfect little Cinco de Mayo taco extravaganza with Pottery Barn. Their colorful plates were the perfect addition to our festivities.

We dined on all things Mexican with some of the most delicious guacamole, then sipped some perfect ginger beer margaritas- {recipe below!}

This Cinco de Mayo, I hope you celebrate and share a cocktail with your favorite friends- it’s a holiday of beautiful food, delightful drinks and a vibrant culture.
